I have video messages sent to me from a couple friends on verizon wireless. When they are sent to my email, they are done so in at .3g2 file extension. If I am on my PC viewing this file, it opens and plays just fine using Quicktime. If I check my mail via my iPhone I can download the attachment, touch it to play it, Quicktime will open but I am met with the error message of "This movie could not be played"

    So.

Is there any way to play these files direct out of my email? I have vlc4iphone installed, but I cannot see any way to save the file out of my email to my phone to play anywhere.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I Want to be able to view the attachment in my email as I would say, a picture, or pdf file. If i'm on my laptop and I get my mail, this is obviously no problem, but if I am in a position where I get it on my iPhone, I would like to view it directly from there. Problem is, I see no option to save the attachment (I.E if you touch a picture you have the option to save it, can't do that with this type of attachment)
