    Dear all,

I am in the middle east for studying arabic, meaning I watch a lot of arabic movies, the one's I buy on discs here are in this format (example from one dvd): VTS_01_0.VOB

I have downloaded the Mplayer, VLC, and bought the MacVCD Player but it still won't show the subtitles. When I choose the subtitle-function I get the video files on the disc and I am not able to choose the IFO file (I think is the subtitles?)...

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?
Mac is not very popular in the region so I haven't found any local people to help me...

    Thank you very much,

    Best Regards,

    Henrik

Use the DVD Player app. It should display subtitles, provided you enable them.

    subs...

Yeah , they have subtitles. It works on the dvdplayers at my friends house.
I can watch small bits of 10-12 minutes and then the film stops, cracks or whatever on the mac.
I downloaded and played it on djoplayer but the quality really sucks...
The thing is that its all the dvd's here are in this specific format so I know it's not just one shop or one disc...

I know I should probably give up but Im gonna stay here for a long time so I really want to get it fixed and get it right.

thanks, for your replies by the way!

    Best,

    Henrik
