I need help trying to figure out how to convert or make a you tube video offline on my Ipad (not the newest version). Is there any good programs that can do this for me and is easy to use?

Not sure if i'm allowed to post this (mods please delete if necessary) but I've been able to do this in the past with the Safari browser. Simply browse to the YouTube page and open the Activity menu option in Safari.

You'll see a long list of files and their file sizes. These are elements of the page being downloaded. One of these will be *much* larger than the others - 10 or 20mb, or more. This is the actual video stream. Double-click this large file to download it and, when complete, change it's extension to .flv, then use an app such as VLC on iPad to view it.

If you don't have VLC, you'll need to convert it from VLC to a more iPad friendly format.

    Hope this helps,

    RTP.
