How To "Point" Media Icons To External HD?

I will be moving my pictures, movies and music folders to an external HD.

On my Finder window under Favourites the icons for these folders currently point to where they are stored on my internal Mac HD.

How do I make the icons for these folders point to where they will be on my external HD?

To answer my own question would I be right in saying that I can't reconfigure Mac media icons (see picture) to pint to my external HD but I can drag the folders containing my media from the external HD to the sidebar which will act as a short cut?

Yes, you are correct. The ones that are listed are the folders located in your Home Folder. You can drag any folder into the sidebar that you want quick access to.
