Over the course of the last month or so Chrome has been so buggy. It had trouble loading pages (other browsers did not) and now tabs are hanging, it is a mess.

I dragged the .app to the trash, I have Hazel installed which finds the other files associated, trashed those as well. But every time I re-download the .dmg and install its the same chrome, same problems. What am I missing?

Thanks much!

AppZapper, AppCleaner, TrashMe, and similar apps do not do a thorough job of removing all files/folders related to deleted apps. I tested several of these, using Skype as the app to be removed. Of 17 items to be removed:
AppZapper missed 13 items
AppCleaner missed 11 items
AppDelete missed 8 items
Hazel missed 9 items
I also tested AppTrap, CleanMyMac and a few others, but don't recall how many items they missed. All left files/folders behind. In most cases, they remove .plist files and a few others, but leave behind much larger files and folders. (you will find a discussion of these tests in the thread linked below)

The only effective method for complete app removal is manual deletion:

Best way to FULLY DELETE a program

Absolutely amazing write up. Thanks so much, got that saved and screenshot (evernote) of your directions. I got a clean slate of Chrome.

Here is the kicker though, I been using Safari now for the week and honestly never gave it a chance before. I really like it... extensions have come a long way and they got the main ones I need.

Wondering if Safari runs faster or is Chrome the king?

It's a matter of opinion. Some swear Chrome is faster, some say Safari, some say Firefox, etc. Your best bet is to test them all, pick the one you like the most and run with it. I'm very happy with Safari.

chrome use the least memories than others. firefox is a memory hog so avoid if u got low ram
