Hey, here is what I need to do and not sure how to do it!

    1. I have a 30GB vmware image that I need to send via DVD (5 or 6)
    2. The DVDs need to be read by a PC
    3. I need to do it from Mac OS

So, how do I split this and put it to DVD?!

    Thanks
    Adam

    Hi,

I believe Toast has an auto-split feature which should do exactly what you want.

Alternatively you could use an external hard disk (either borrow or buy one).

Is internet an option? You could use a torrent transfer.

Splitting a file across multiple DVDs is a difficult thing to do so there are no free ways of doing this.

Is there a reason it has to be on DVDs and you can't use another method such as external hard drive or direct connection between the two computers?

You could use Split & Concat to split the VMWare image into segments:

    http://www.xs4all.nl/~loekjehe/Split&Concat/

Put those segments on to DVDs, then when you want to join the VMWare image put all of those segments from the different DVDs into a single folder on a computer, use Split & Concat to join the files and you're done.
