how to put away the itunes music store link arrows???

with itunes 8 the preference panel has been revamped...
when i open it i can't find a click box anywhere, where i have the choice to see or not see the link arrows to the music store.
i mean the little arrows that appear next to a song when you select it.
i find those arrows extremely annoying and haven't figured out how to remove them.
thanks if anyone can tell me where i can do that!

why do something like that so only people that really understand how to use the terminal can fix that?

i don't understand the logic behind that move...
probably because people will click the arrows and apple makes more $$$ with the itunes store... ; (
i think they should leave people with that choice. it feels like they're shoving the itunes store down my throat. i buy my cds because i actually like having something physical.

I disabled them in tunes 7. but do they still appear in 8 when genius is turned off?

Yes, the only way to make them disappear is to use Terminal.

Pretty crappy idea to have them always on in iTunes 8 imo. I too thought about switching back to 7.x so I could remove them. Thank goodness for Terminal experts 😀

Thank goodness! Those arrows irk me. I would much rather have to not go into terminal to turn them off but this will suffice.

apple would much rather you accidentally click on those arrows a few times a month. They figure you'll just live with it and maybe even accidentally buy some stuff, too.
