Well I have a lot of work projects saved on my laptop and was wanting to know if there is a programme out there that I could transfer it over to my iPad???? The iPad is on latest firmware 5.0.1 and is not jail broken... The work that is saved on my laptop has been done in Microsoft word.....Any help would be great.....

Thanks.....

You actually have a couple of different options that I know of....there may be other ways that other people know.

Apps:
DocsToGo
Pages (Made by Apple) syncs with iCloud if you use it
Dropbox
Box.net
Goodreader

These are just a few that I have used. Each one handles it a bit differently. iCloud is probably the easiest since your changes are synced automatically.

If you need any details on any of the apps just let me know. I will help the best I can. 🙂

You mentioned a lot of it is Word docs -- if you want to edit them, QuickOffice might be a good option too. I think it's on sale right now.

EDIT: This thread has a debate over the relative merits of QuickOffice, Docs2Go, and iWork, including the sales for the holidays that are on right now.
