I can't seem to figure this out. In this example, the face is set to 10:09. I can't tell if it's AM or PM. How can I tell what time it is in Bangkok and New York from the face?

It's AM, as indicated by the red triangle on the 10 in the middle ring. If it was PM, 22 would be by the red triangle. The dots on the outer ring show what time it is in that region, so 01:09 (1:09 AM) in Bangkok, and 13:09 (1:09 PM) in New York.

Why would the triangle on the 10 represent AM and 22 represent PM?

So from what I gather, the minutes stay the same. Just read it based on where the hand is. Then depending on which city I want to know, just look for where the dot is?

Because the ring is in 24-hour format. 10 AM is 10:00 and 10 PM is 22:00.

Yes, pretty much. Most time zones are offset by full hours. There are some odd ones out there that are offset by a half hour or even 15/45 minutes. For example, 10:09 AM Pacific is 10:39 PM in India and 10:54 PM in Nepal.

None of the cities listed on the watch face aren’t affected by this, so it’s not really an issue for most people. It’s more of an issue if you are in one of those odd timezones. Then you’d need to know how many minutes to add/subtract.
