Sorry. A bit of a nub to the forum. I actually havent posted on the forums in years. I came across a 2006 Mac Pro 1,1 and I would like to rebuild it. I found this thread regarding the CPU Upgrade for the 1,1 very helpful.

Can someone show me a thread regarding an overall rebuild of the other components to have a Mac pro that is usable in 2017.

Thanks

The 2006 MP 1,1 is already quite usable in 2017, with an up to date operating system.
Add some ram, get a better video card, install an SSD as the boot drive and then read this link as an aide on installing a newer 64 bit operating system.

Thank you very much for your reply. I will go ahead and do the needed. Do you happen to have a list of recommend RAM, VIDEO CARDS, and SSD's.

I noticed the compatible CPU's from compatibility thread.
