You mean you want to start over and erase all your mail settings for each account?

Start mail up>>Preferences>>Accounts>> highlight the account you want to get rid of, look below for the + and - sign. Hit the minus sign and the account is gone.

Then start over.

Is that what you are looking to do?

I tried that. And it recognized it so that it was the same. I want to try to reset mail.app so that you have to start from scratch again. As in importing all of the mail in the inbox etc...

After you've deleted the account in Mail preferences, you need to quit Mail and reopen it.

You can also try deleting the following folders (at your own risk). Make sure you have a backup first.

~user/Library/Mail
~user/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
.
