how to recover trashed files

how do i recover trashed files. I put a folder i shouldn't have, and emptied the trash... 🙄

data recovery software, first things first stop using your computer so it doesn't get overwritten.

You probably will get it back, one of my friends got most of his coursework back after his PC needed a Windows re-install.

EDIT: Data rescue 2 is recommended in this thread. There are others if you search 😉.

their just pictures that i have a CD at home for. i did a slide show in FCP and i went to open it up and all the files said they needed to be reconnected... luckly i exported yesterday 😀 I guess my slideshow is done 😉
