So I just bought the Simple Drive, and I have read through every single one of the instructions, but I am still having problems. I put the drive into my Mac and then followed the instructions to reformat it to the FAT thing, or MacDos or whatever, in order to use it between my Mac and my Windows computers. But when I am in Disk Utilities and I click on the Simple Drive thing and click on Erase, and then want to choose the option for what format to put it in, all of that is gray-ed out and I can't click any of it. I am really frustrated and need some help.

I suspect that the cause is the drive's partition scheme. Set it to Master Boot Record (MBR) first, then see if you can format it to MS-DOS Format (FAT32). You can do this in Disk Utility, from the Partition tab.
