How to remove a partition?

I partitioned my HD via disk utility how do I remove it and restore my recent HD, I click delete, but it just mounts again, HELP!
 
open disk utility you have two partitions there? click the partition you want to remove then you should see a + and - symbol? Press the - it will remove it. Click apply it will remove it.
