If you login to iCloud.com from a browser and select Settings --> Devices, it will show ALL the Apple devices you have registered under your name (MacBook, iPhone, etc.).

I noticed that in my iCloud, my work MacBook Pro was added. I never registered my iCloud account to this MBP (iCloud under System Preferences) or use the App Store or iTunes app. I DID login to my iCloud account from www.cloud.com, but that's a browser.

How did this get added to my iCloud account? I am not only curious, but worried since that means if I login to iCloud.com account from another computer, Apple can add that computer to my account?

Finally, how do I remove the work MacBook Pro from my iCloud account? I don't want it associated with me.

I had the same issue that my daughters iPhone was in my iCloud.com settings. No way to remove it, but it did go away itself over time.

Do you know how Apple added the iOS / OS X devices to your iCloud account? I am worried that if I logged in to iCloud.com (from a browser) to devices not owned by me, Apple will keep adding it to my account.

I.e. logged in to iCloud.com to my family MacBook and suddenly I'll have 10 MacBook in my iCloud account.

I have no idea how her phone got on there and that's nuts! 10? You might have to contact apple support on that one. There should be a way for us to remove this, but I haven't found it yet. I see your point too in wanting to keep work and personal separate, I'm the same way.

The only way that MBP should have showed up on iCloud.com is that it's running Yosemite and you've logged into iCloud on it, and enabled "find my device". If you don't want it showing, disable Find My Mac on the MBP, in iCloud settings.

The funny thing is that the work MBP is not shown under "Find my Device" in my iCloud.com account, but it is listed under Settings -> Devices.

You can remove devices now at: iCloud.com -> Settings -> My Devices. Just select the device you want to remove and press 'Remove Device'.
