$20 says we see a post someday from camoMike that starts with "Help"

I can't imagine anyone worrying so much about a single application.

If he is that worried, he better remove Safari also.

Ha. I've decided to leave Cydia since it sounds like no one can access a jb iPhone without openSSH. (I tried it a couple times and got a connection "disconnected by host".)

I'm not going to install any other apps, but I might go back to my original firmware when I'm done with all these trips.

Thanks all for the responses. It's definitely re-ensuring to hear the support for Cydia.

download POOF from cydia then hide cydia problem solved ... you DONT want to uninstall cydia..because IF something does go wrong. and there is a new firmware you will be FORCED to update to the new firmware and lose your unlock .. but if you have cydia you could just restore with old custom firmware

Yesterday i tried jailbreaking my iphone 4 .. the cydia app is on my phone but the icon is white & when i click on it it flickers .. it does not open up the app .. i want to remove it or find a way to download it successfully. what can i do?

Restore and rejailbreak.

Before doing that, I'd try powering down and restarting. That sometimes fixes white icons.
