how to remove folder from path

Greetings,

Long time developer, fairly new to Mac OS. I'm working in terminal and my PATH variable includes an obsolete folder that I must have added months ago. I want to remove it, but I can't remember how I added it in the first place, and I can't find it in the usual places.

I've checked my ~/.MacOSX/environment.plist, and it's not being added there. I've checked ~/.bash_profile but that doesn't even exist. I'm not sure where else to check.

Any ideas of other places I could have appended this folder to PATH?
