so I have the black phone and I’ve noticed little bits of either lint or gunk or something along the side bezel has anyone figured out to remove this stuff? It’s so fine that a finger nail won’t fit. I thought about just dropping some black dye down in there but I’m not sure what else to do?

try a long piece of masking tape. run it along the bezel, one side at a time. tuck it into the seam with your fingernail, then peel it off. the gunk should stick to the tape.

A thin paper receipt.
I’ve tried it, it folds up too easily.

Have you held a X? There is next to no space/gap for something thick like masking tape to go into.

Hmm is that fine edged enough? I don’t want any metal at all

Yeah no kidding that’s why I want to remove it. It only ever goes in my pocket with nothing else but the lint drives me insane!
Take a look at them on Amazon. Will give you a better idea of what I am talking about. There are different sizes and lengths.

Is it left over glue? Kinda like this? My first x had that. Apple replaced it since it might of made the water resistance not hold up. It’s kinda hard to tell in the pic. But you can kinda see it.

I bought 2 X’s one for me and one for my girlfriend. Mine had the glue issue and hers had a speck of dust under the camera lens. I called Apple they sent me 2 new ones. They both were and are perfect. Just had to put a $2200 charge on my debit card til they got the defects back. I paid $1000 each I want them to be perfect out of the box.

I wouldn't recommend any type of dye or between the crevices. That sounds like a bad idea. As others have said, I would try a toothpick to start with.

I don’t believe it’s glue a toothpick isn’t fine enough to fit already tried it. A post it note is good but the paper crinkles too easy

I use the tip of a Post-IT. Seems to work fairly well in these smaller gaps
