sorry for sucha silly question, but each time I open my Macbook it comes with Mail opened up to setup, I tried to take it of from Preferences>Accounts>My login, but its not there!!

Trying adding it back to the Startup Items and then log out. Log back in and remove it. Sometimes that helps. If not, try running some permissions on the drive. And if that fails, try trashing the plist file that is found in /YourAccountName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginitems.plist

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

How about ctrl+click on the icon on the dock and dessellect open at login?

Or try deleting the plist file for login items and then adding your necessary ones again?
