How to remove pinned items on menu bar from control center

I'm wondering if anyone can help. I was showing the new macOS to my mother and how you can drag things from the control center onto the menu bar. I dragged the display brightness up to the menu bar just to show her. I want to remove it now and I cannot figure out how. Anyone know what I need to do?
