How to rename files?

How do you rename files on a new alumabook? Right now I'm just playing my luck clicking on it different ways but I can't figure it out lol.

Highlight the file name and press enter.

Command+I or right click and select get info

not sure if there is a easier way

EDIT:just read other post, never knew about hitting enter

I just double click on the file name then edit the name. MC

Note that double-clicking opens the file. For this to work you need to click once, then wait a second and click again.
