Evening,

I recently received my new 2018 MBP to replace my late 2013 model.

I set the MBP up as a new device whilst my old one was still running so I could look at what I wanted to install etc etc.

Now I have erased and re-installed macOS on my old one, how do I change the name of my new MBP within iCloud devices - it current shows as name_MacBook Pro (2).

Thanks

You can change your Mac's device name under System Preferences -> Sharing. Now this mainly affects the name it shows up as on the device itself and for other devices on the same network, but I would expect that the device's name in the iCloud device list is also determined by this. Can someone confirm?

iCloud name reflects the name in that menu.
