how to restore (copy) a dual os cd onto a external hdd, to boot from

i know you can restore leapord onto a external drive.
but,
the cd that was given by apple is two. this is because of the addition of ilife.

how do i put both on an external so that it will work.








i was thinking of just putting 2 more partitions of 10 gb each and copy each cd to each partition. i am not shure this will work or not because when it asks you to put in the other cd what would you do?
