Hello i hope you can help

I have a mac air with 128 gb ssd , i just bought an adapter and a samsung 970EVO 500 gb that i want to install instead of the old now to small SSD, how can i do this in a way that my old install will be put on the new SSD ? just install the new SSD and restore it with timemachine ? is it that easy ? sorry to ask but i newer done this before.

Pretty much... yes.

I'm assuming here your Time Machine (TM) backup is to a local USB drive? Just install the new SSD then option key boot to the TM disk. That will get you to a recovery screen where you can use Disk Utility to format (erase) the new drive. Then quit Disk Util and click restore.
