I just bought a used mac book. I have a Imac desktop. I have all the disk that came with that. I want to completely restore the Macbook to factory settings.

I have done a format many times on a PC but never a mac, can someone provide info it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

You need the restore disks for that MacBook... not the iMac's or any other machines disks. If they didn't come with your MaBook you can get them from Apple for a fee.

Once you have the disks, you can perform an Erase and Install which will put you back to out of the box settings including the software included at time of purchase.

Is this what you mean?
