hi, i was finally able to get my new hard drive to work in my macbook pro. however, i cannot seem to figure out how to get all my preferences back. i have an external hard drive with time machine back ups of my old hard drive. how can i get all those settings (mail, photos, safari links, etc) working on the new hard drive in the laptop?

    thanks!

The Mail settings and Safari are in the User>>Home>>Library folder. Move the Mail folder to the corresponding folder on your MacBook. Then open the User>>Home>>Library>>Preferences folder on the external drive and move over the safari.plist and mail.plist files to the Home>>Library>>Preferences folder on the MacBook.

As for the photos... maybe in the pictures folder. User>>Home>>Pictures?
