Newbie question. With 10.14.3 coming soon, what is the process to roll back to 10.14.2 if you discover serious problems? I'm assuming that the Mac boots fine, but some key applications no longer work.

A good proven bootable backup is always a good idea.
Time Machine can restore your system but a bootable Clone can make it seem like you never ever had a problem.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if Time Machine could undo an OS update. I also have a bootable clone, but have never actually done the process to boot from the external clone and re-clone to the internal disk.

Time Machine is the easiest. Boot with Command-R, "Restore from Time Machine Backup", choose a time earlier than when you installed the update. Note that rolls back EVERYTHING so if any files have changed and you need the new versions, make a copy off the Mac before you do this.
