Hi
I just purchased a 115gb OWC Mercury Pro SSD and cloned the OSX contents of my Apple 500gb 5400rpm drive to the SSD(including bootcamp partition) using Superduper.
The 5400rm drive has OSX and Win 7 partitions(250gb each). The SSD is the boot drive.
I'd like to reformat the OSX partition of the 500gb drive and use it to offload data from the SSD. I would also like to use the bootcamp partition on the 500gb for Windows 7. Will this work if I format the OSX partition on the 500gb drive? I think so but want to make sure they aren't linked somehow.
I noticed the OS 10.6.7 with programs installed takes up about 32GB of space. Is this normal? What is the typical install size after a fresh install?
What can I do?
Thanks.
