Hello y'all. I have reason to believe that during importation of my some 4300 pictures into iPhoto, that some of my images were duplicated in multiple folders. Is there any way I can use spotlight to find any file that has multiple copies of itself? Thanks.

Hello,

If you're using iPhoto 7 (iLife '08), duplicates are detected and are not imported by default.
However, if you have chosen to import the duplicates, you have some duplicates photos in your iPhoto library.

At this point, I can imagine 2 kinds of solutions :
- Use a 3rd app like "Duplicate Annihilator" : http://www.brattoo.com/propaganda/index.php?action=software

- Copy your photo files outside iPhoto library,
remove every photo from your iPhoto library,
import your photo files (previously copied) into your "clean" iPhoto library (album after album) taking care you do not chose to import duplicate

I never used any of these solutions, so be very careful (if you can, make a copy of your disk with CCC before any modification)...
