Hi,

I switched over from Parallels 10 to VMWare Fusion 7. I often download different stuff that might contain malware and liked how you could isolate the VM in P10.

What settings do I have change to achieve this in VM?

If malware is on my computer what can it do to my main computer?

Are there any vulnerabilites that the malware can exploit from the virtual machine and snoop on the computer.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Vmware is no more or less secure then parallels. Its job is to run an operating system. Your best bet is to ensure you have a good antivirus application running if your computing habits are such that you are risking malware infection.

The virtualization technology regardless of it being vmware or parallels will not permit the malware from infecting the host OS.

You can isolate Parallels from doing anything to mac osx.
