How to send large file via email

Hi I've read somewhere that with iOS8, I'd be able to send large files somehow ("maildrop" i guess). I wanted to send a video 100sec made by iPad (with iOS8) to my friend, however, it showd me that the video is to big. How can I send it?

I think you'll need to wait for USB-D and Thunderbolt 6. 🙁😡

But seriously, can you use Airdrop, or do you mean to really email it?

Maybe it's free-version Dropbox account time?
