You shouldn't be using MobileTerminal if you don't know how to change your password.

When logged in as root, type passwd. Enter your new password twice. Done.

open Mobile terminal.

Type:

su passwd

Type your Current default root password

them Type your New password...twice.

Done.

There are 2 passwords: root and mobile.

Don't forget to do a passwd mobile as well.
