How to set permissions?

I opened ssh and all, transfered the app but now i have to change the permissions. do i do this with mobile terminal or can i do it on my imac?

If you are using cyberduck just highlight what you want to change permissions and right-click>info. Then the bottom of the info window with all those check boxes. Seclect the right boxes to change permissions and hit apply.
