I'm not sure if this goes in this topic, but it seemed close enough to me.

How would you set up a live feed connected to a capture card connected to a console, through your mac computer, onto www.Ustream.tv?

That may not be to specific, so tell me if it isn't.

BTW, i have an iMac, and a pinnacle video capture for mac capture card.

I looked a little at that site's help info: http://www.ustream.tv/helpcenter/gettingstarted#id2

I'm not sure how you get your camera's feed detected by their site. I am under the impression that you need some sort of software conduit, like the Vara stuff, Wirecast, or Screenflow (now owned by telestream).

But maybe this site has some of that functionality built in to it. If you find out more from their help topics, post back and let us know.

Apparently, to do it you have to have Adobe Media Live Encoder, which is only for windows. I searched the internet and no-body knew of an alternative to it for mac.

It doesn't work with this proprietary service, but Quicktime Streaming Server is free from Apple lets you do real live video broadcastimg on Mac OS X. It's not the easiest to set up, but it works very well once it is.
