    Hello everyone,

I've been an iPhone user since the iPhone 3G, passing then to a 4, then to a 5 and then to a 6.
Apple geniuses in two different occasions told me my battery is in perfect shape but its life is short because they had never seen so many apps crashing. I had something like 36.

Now that must been all a background thing cause my iPhone 6 works fine although, yeah, my battery life is not the best.

I explained I have been "restoring from backup" since the iPhone 3G (well, obviously, that's what that option is there for). But nope, they told me over the years I've been probably dragging all bugs and stuff with my backup, even though it's on iCloud now.

I've been told the only thing I should do is restore the iPhone and set it up as new.

At first I was extremely against that because I would have lost the camera roll, 17,000 pics. which yes, I could have backed up separately and then synced back from iPhone but it wouldn't have been my camera roll anymore, and plus the texts, and the whatsapp conversations, etc.

Now iCloud Photo Library came, and eliminated the photo problem, turning it that on would just put the pics back in place even on a "as new" setting. But what about my messages and other things I probably not thinking about now that would go lost?

Is there any way on a brand new iPhone I can get everything back through iCloud but without the "restore from back up"?

Why aren't iMessages stored in iCloud just like contacts and photos, so they can come back when I put my password in?

Hope someone will be able to help me cause otherwise I'll be stuck restoring from iCloud backup forever.
If you have any question or need any detail let me know! ;) Thanks!

Thank you so much, that is exactly what I was looking for, unfortunately it's for PC only :( If anyone knows of an alternative for Mac please let me know! :)

I've used iBackupbot in the past. Not sure if it still works with iOS 8+ backup files though.
