Hey,

So I recently updated my old hotmail.com address to a outlook.com address (mainly for vanity reasons as I could get my name) but I've been having issues connecting it to apple mail. I've set the account up and inputed my username/ password etc and I can get my e-mails fine but I can't send e-mail.

Currently my incoming mail server is pop3.live.com and my outgoing server name is smtp.live.com. I assume I have to change this?

Can anyone shed any light? I've trawled everywhere to no avail so-far.

Thanks a lot

Another poster asked about Outlook.com. As far as I can tell, Outlook.com is just Live.com with a different UI and a few more letters to type that then get linked to Live.com. I use the exact same POP3 and SMTP server settings that you listed with nary a problem.
