I've read previous posts, and no one seems to have a current answer. It appears as if the past solutions are no longer working, so does anyone know how to get Yahoo! Mail working on Mac Mail?

Thanks.

not even this?

mate! you're from surfers!!! im on the tweed!!!

hmm. a good friend has just indicated that you may have to pay to upgrade the account to POP3 before attempting to get them working together.

Yahoo mail will not do POP access unless you have the premium service ($19 per year). I have yahoo mail and it was a bit of a pain to setup use from the OSx mail program.

Yah mate, I tried everything in that exact thread and it all seems outdated. So I don't know.

looks like you'll have to fork out the $19 (US i guess) to change over 🙁 either that or forward everything to gmail then use that 😉 i do that.

Unfortunately I don't think normal Yahoo mail allows forwarding of everything incoming unless you pay for premium version.

Lucky I didn't go with yahoo then 🙂 I wonder why they do that....??

Wish I knew! I originally had Excite, but then some real issues showed up and I switched to Yahoo. I stick with Yahoo since I don't want to try to find all the places where I have my e-mail address. I don't think they've really kept up with the internet world.

They should do it as google offer it for free (of course you pay via advertising) but then yahoo's free version has ads too. I still have a yahoo address that I set up over 5 years ago, rarely use it. I have my own domain email now so I control what it can do. 🙂 Cheaper than $19 too
