Hi,

Situation:

I have a work computer and only would like to log In with my Apple ID so I can use my iPad via SideCar.

Problem:

As soon as I logged in with my Apple ID, iCloud starts syncing everything (including iCloud Drive) since it's all enabled by default.

Only after it starts syncing, I can disable iCloud again. Now it will delete everything it already started syncing, but I'm stuck with a bunch of finder tags that I can't even bulk-delete (they have to be right-clicked and deleted one by one).

Is there a way to sign in without starting an iCloud Drive sync?

Let it start, then go into the settings and remove it. The iCloud drive contents will then be removed.

That's exactly what I did.
