How to sign out of iMessage on a remote iPad?

Freind signed into her BFs iPad to download some stuff and now the BF is getting all her messages. How can she disable it without having the iPad? Asking him to turn it off is not an option.

Get her to go to iCloud.com she can do a lock or remote wipe from there. Easiest though would be changing her password

How to sign out of iMessage on a remote iPad?

As Gav2k noted, the only way to remotely unlink it from iMessage is to change the password for the Apple ID. It's not ideal but it will get the job done.
