How to sort in Excel

Hey I was wanting to know how to sort a list of birthdays in excel by month and day only (Not including years); I also tried to add only the month and day data but it kept sticking 2010 on the end. Any tips? thanks

Change the formatting for the column (format | cells) to a date format without a year (or your own custom format)

Go to data | sort and choose the column you want sorted by.
