How to speed up Inspector resizing animation?

Is there a defaults hack to speed up the animation used when Inspector windows are resized?

I like to work in Numbers with the Inspector open, but each time I move to a cell with different parameters there is a significant delay as the Inspector window is resized to show the new information.

Can I speed up the animation, or disable it completely?
