I like All My Files window when i open finder, but I have a some pictures and documents that I don't want to be easily displayed to apple store people or whoever has access to my computer. for the curious minds; not porn or anything fantastic, it's my weight loss progress photos and documents about self-health (anxiety) i rather not have people easily see them in my 'All My Files'.

Is there a way I found filter out a folder from displaying in the finder?

-thanks.

The "All My Files" is not a folder, but a search. If the file is visible anywhere on your computer, it will appear in "All My Files". A better approach to privacy is to set up a guest or other user account on your Mac for others to use. That way they won't have access to any of your files.

I haven't actually tested this, but I assume that if you simply exclude that folder from a Spotlight index, it would also then not show up in the "All My Files" Smart Search. As you said, it's not really the best method for hiding files, but could be useful if the goal was only to reduce clutter.
