How to stop iPhone going to sleep while in dock?

Is there any way to keep the iPhone g3 on in the dock? And stop it going to sleep.

Oh and get email notification on the lock screen, like sms?

Can't you just go to settings and set sleep to 'never'?

As for the emails on the sleep screen, no, not possible.

Actually, yes it is, i have seen a cydia app that does just that. sorry, i cant remember what its called though, just have a browse until you find it
