I have tried to find a way to stop the "photo App" open automatically when I plug in a SD card but can't find it........please can someone help me with that?
Thanks

Neil

You're not the first one posting about this problem.

At the current time, I don't think that there's a "solution" out there that works.

Apple should have at least provided an "on/off" switch for the auto-launching...

When the window opens, there is a checkbox that says "Open Photos when this Device is plugged in" at the very top. Unckeck this and go about your day! I've noticed it's not universal, so you have to do it for each device.

Seconded. This always works for me, though I have not tried it with a flash card.

I agree with Fishrrman, there are solutions that may work but I haven't been able to find a 100% certain solution.

You could try what tjwilliams25 suggested.

If that wont work next step is Image Capture, select memory card and uncheck "open Photos when this Device is plugged in".

Last resort is Terminal, hopefully it wont come to that...
