I just noticed my full real name is shown in metadata of photos taken with iPhone 13 Pro Max.

so when I transfer photos to my Mac,and right click on them ,selecting "Get Info" where it usually shows data such as date/time photo was taken and technical info,it also shows full real name and device name as per Apple ID.

this is obviously no good and a huge privacy issue.

how can this be disabled?

this never happened on my previous iPhones,so has to be an iOS 15/iPhone 13 issue.

Your name you’re seeing is the name you gave your Mac when you set it up.
During setup I never enter my name. I just use something like “MacBook” or “MacMini”

The “Get Info” info you’re seeing on your Mac for your images shows both meta data AND Mac specific data, that’s not meta-data and won’t be transferred when uploading to the internet.

If you want to see all the meta data that actually is readable by other computers, install the iOS app “Photo Investigator” below and check your images out on your iPhone.

Photo Investigator didn't show device name/my name so I feel better now ?

that is actually not my Mac's name, first one is iPhone's name followed by my real name as shown on iPhone's Apple ID/iCloud (in settings).and it's not possible to leave full name blank.

wish there was a way to avoid it.just in case

This jives with what I saw a couple of weeks ago. I was trying to display a video here, and just created a shared photo album and linked to the video there...but simply clicking to the album's main page showed my real name, which was an iCloud label, I guessed.

I took an iPhone 13 Pro Max RAW photo and sent it to my own email address, then opened it in Photoshop CC where I looked at the EXIF file information. There was no personal data such as name included. It does include GPS coordinates, which can trace it back to my house, but that is standard for cameras with that capability.

On my MacBook Pro the Get Info option does show my name though, but since it isn't written in the EXIF file it shouldn't be viewable if I send the file to someone else.
