How to stop upgrading invitation !!!!

This upgrade keeps jumping out on my Husband's Mac Mini (El Capitan), top right hand corner on each time he boots up. This is how he got into trouble the last time I came begging for help. This item appears at will. How can I stop this from happening? My dear husband has a short term memory problem since his surge. Sitting on pins and needles.

As far as I can tell the method I choice works just fine, though it took a couple of times to get it to stick. I can breath now! :rolleyes::p:cool:
