Since updating to watch OS4, I notice when I'm playing music in my car with carplay (spotify), the watch switches to a music player app.

Is there anyway to stop this from happening? I don't want to see any music controls on the watch.

Thanks!

I hope someone answer your question. Have the same issue here. I hope there is a toggle in the settings for that. (I looked and did not find anything)

On your phone - Watch App > General > Wake Screen > Auto-launch Audio Apps. Turn this to off and it will stop the music app from taking over.

Chris

I don’t see this on my watch app with series 0. Is this limited to a certain series?

Does the phone have this as well? Sick of apple playing from the Apple Music on its own just as the OP said.
