For those of you with Unlimited Data and have debated about cutting the cord to your home internet, you can easily stream over to an AppleTV across your home network.

In Settings, copy your DHCP IP Address and Subnet to Static, leave everything else blank. Your iPhone/iPad will now use your cellular data for internet connectivity and will let you stream the program to your AppleTV across your home network.

I researched this for my WiFi OBD-II dongle and found an obscure note to it on the internet, but bumped into a thread in the JB forum where people were looking for an App that does the above. And the grooviest thing is there is no app required!

Thought some AppleTV users would find this intriguing, especially if you ever have data dropouts from your ISP to your home network.

Enjoy, please upvote if you find this helpful.

For all the ODB developers, all you have to do is tell users to copy the DHCP first two lines to static, that's the IP address and subnet mask, but leave everything else blank and they can continue to listen to pandora, etc while using your ODB wifi device on iOS. Think of all the loveliness you can now create with ODB data from the vehicle with ODB data. Maybe Waze needs to add in an ODB layer!
