How to stream media with EyeConnect to PS3

Hi, I'm trying to make this a reality, but although Eyeconnect is switched on in the system preferences the PS3 does not appear with any Eyeconnect media server. Is there anything I can try for this? Maybe a plug in?

are both your machines plugged in via the router by cable, or is the ps3 wireless? i dont think eyeconnect supports wireless

Eyeconnect certainly works over wireless when I tried it in the past.

However, ps3mediaserver is free and does a better job for me...
