i mean how can i switch off my iPod nano completely?
Holding down the Play/Pause button will do it?
or is there any way to really shut down the iPod nano completely?

The "sleep" mode it's usually in will last weeks on a good charge. For the most part, there's no reason to do a hard-shutdown.

If the battery runs too low, the unit will "die" on it's own. During normal use this really doesn't happen. Do you want to store it for a while?

FYI it's best to store a lithium rechargeable battery for long periods of time at something like 40% of full charge.

err...come again?
i don't understand that...

I heard Lithium Ion batteries were meant to be fully charged before storage. 😕

There's something on the Apple site about charging iBook/PowerBook batteries before storage and they're essentially the same cell AFAIK.

Brand New Nano which are impossible to get. And you want to store it for 3-4 months? 😕 😕 Pardon me for asking, but why?
